Join us Monday, March 15 at 7 p.m. ET for a special knitting workshop with our very own President Lyle Roelofs. Pres. Roelofs says his mother taught him to knit at age 4 to "give him something to do," and from there, it became a lifelong hobby. He regularly knits scarves, mittens and socks for friends and family and even dog sweaters for beloved first pup, Nellie Roelofs.
Pres. Roelofs will guide us through Korkinesse, a Norwegian pattern for cork elves. Knitters who feel especially festive may even consider a green yarn scheme for cork leprechauns in celebration of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday. Pres. Roelofs will not teach attendees how to knit, so you will need some knitting experience to follow along with the instructions. For those who do not already know how to knit, might we suggest a new quarantine hobby? After all, if 4-year-old Pres. Roelofs can learn; we believe you can too!
To attend, RSVP prior to the event. Registered attendees will receive Zoom meeting details and a copy of the pattern in advance of the webinar. Please contact the Alumni Office at email@example.com with questions or if you need assistance with the online registration.
